Undies cause car smash

A DRIVER smashed up his car in a terrifying high-speed crash after his view was blocked by a pair of flying underpants.

Police in the German town of Gotha said the undies were discarded by a group of naked men in a van.

They lobbed the pants into a passing Volkswagen Passat as it shot down an autobahn.

"The underpants landed on the driver's face, causing him to ram the truck ahead from behind," a cop said.

No-one was hurt in the crash but police are hunting the owner of the underpants for failing to stop at the scene.

It is not clear why the men were driving along naked.
